Before staying at in-laws Anis so small & cute 1 week after birth. She winks and drinks a lot. 2 ounces for the first 2 weeks and jumps to 3 ounces on the 3rd week and 4 ounces by last week.
Boy can this little one drink. Now she's on frisocream (a 4month old baby diet)! A fraction of the actual dose of course.
After staying at in laws Check her out now. Look at the wide face and the cheeks. A far cry from her 2.45kg weight when she was just born. She must be at least 4kg by now.
And boy does she have a temper... This lil one have such a "lantang" voice and demands I tell you.
My neighbors 2 doors away actually hear her cry mind you! They mentioned when giving Anis baby gifts. Fortunately they are such understanding chinese neighbours.

All preggie ladies will eventually make this decision once they are going to deliver.
"Where to stay for confinement and who to look after? "
Initially, I had the luxury of having both my mother & my in-laws coming over to take care of me in the comfort of my own home. *Bliss*
My mother would come first thing in the morning almost every day and bathe the baby as well as do my laundry before going back home.
My mother-in-law will come before noon to bring personalized home-cooked lunch for me and she will go back home to return in the evening with dinner with my father-n-law and sleep over to care for the baby during the night. Unfortunately they were unable to stay over long so schedule changed to my mother-in-law having to come and pick Anis before 6pm and send her back to my place the following morning so me & hubby get our much needed rest. Weekends duties are taken over by my mum & my hubby.
After 4 weeks, all these arrangements get tiring. Now, I am at my in-laws until my 44 days of confinement is over. I wished I stayed here from the very beginning!!!
Pure luxury! Irregardless of whatever people say. Staying with elders are fantastic!!! I have breakfast, lunch & dinner all ready and served. *Bliss*
You dont have to lay a hand. They always know what to do with the baby. Never mind that sometimes it interferes with the way you do things but they are old. Let them do what they want. No matter what they do or say, they will never want anything bad for you or your baby.
