The all griLs trip began on 15 April wif Leen and Fizah departing at 7.45am by bus to Larkin Bus Interchange, JB and me departing at 9.45am on 16 April the via the same route.
My on-the-road viewAfter a short walk around the bus station, I headed straight to Conrad Hotel with my heavy duffel bag to meet with problems at the hotel as they did not keep door cards to patrons cos its digital and issue a new one to every customer. She did not remember that my fren left a key for me either. Service crap. The patrons behind waited for quite a while before they angrily asked for attention. Finally reaching the hotel room, I managed a whole show of Hindi movie before the girls returned from their more happening time-spent trip from Genting.

My not-so excellent View from Conrad Hotel
(See the lousy view surrounding it?)

All geared trio
After an hour of chilling, moved on to the next itinery on their list; dinner. I opted for Malaysia's infamous Nasi Kandar(translated to Nasi Campur) . This led to a hefty RM80.00. Boy did we eat!?!?!
In front of Nasi Kandar place Den we sped off to get ready for the night scene which by the time we girls WERE ready was almost 1am. 1st stop: An exclusive club (frequent by artistes and highly-acclaimed people) at Holiday Inn, Mutiara (a very expensive hotel: highly recommended) where we invited by a group of highly-acclaimed aristocrats to go over by their social PR or bodyguard or something to that effect but after rejecting persistently by our team leader, Fizah, we were left alone. The place had the music and the groove but lack the crowd. I guess the aristocrats covered a fair share of the business profits eh? He he he. An hour later we moved to the 2nd stop: PLanet Hollywood... It was into Rock and HEavy Metal that evening. Sigh... It had the crowd but did not have the music... ARGH!!!!!!!!
The highlight of the evening began when we hailed a cab at 3.10am from Planet Hollywood and the same ever-so-frendly taxi driver that drove us to planet Hollywood actually fetched us to go for a bit of travelling with some verbal entertainment as well. There was the recommended 1-sex theme clubs featuring gays/lesbians like "Velvet"(already closed) but pronounced it as "Willward" by the taxi driver. Boy did we get a shock to see the sign! Hahhaha.
We did a stop-over at Conrad to ask the concierge on the places that we can frequent in the area at 3am. The manager spoke to me in a matter-of-fact tone saying that the authorities are conducting a raid on the clubs that run beyond 3 and advise me against it. He asked whether I wanted to be plastered across newspapers and on the tv for being caught in any of the clubs. He said I might as well go back! I was a guest! I think he didnt realise that. His advise was duly appreciated but he didnt have to touch me or speak in that condescending manner to a Conrad Hotel guest. Probably I'm over-reacting but after that incident, I refuse to speak at all..Trance-like and shock between being appreciative of his advice and complaining to the management on his condescending tone and putting his hand on me.
The bad note did not end there as we continued the cab ride and actually got stopped by police car at the outskirts of KL as the police jus wanted to squirm some money from us! I had these types; abusing their authority. They actually asked us to get out of the taxi which we declined(That is a MUST in these cases). His reason: he doubt the credibility of our credentials; the lack of a passport! (Fizah and Leen brought IC and driving licence respectively) He claimed that IC and driving licence are an invalid use of credential in THEIR COUNTRY as it is ONLY use in MY own country. I know at least 50 people who can rebutt that! The frenly and helpful taxi driver actually tried to reason with the police officers and the officers technically corced us into being meek and apologize for our lack of providing proper credentials.
The morning ended in silence and we creep back into the hotel upset and frustrated.
The next day filled up with shopping and eating at the famous chicken rice stall near Bukit Bintang(a must for all).
Den we rushed through our shopping and ran for the bus. which was due at 5.30pm. What a rush! We duly arrived at 11.25pm. Yet this is not the end...
