Manhattan Fish Market

MFM
Popped into this American-style Fish & Seafood diner similar to Fish & Co at Plaza Singapura with Zati & Fatimah one fine evening and boy were we in for a surprise. Greeted by a jolly waiter and seated in a slightly cramp style seating, we ordered the platter as it has a variety of dishes to sample. The drinks menu was lacking unlike at Fish & Co. Many aspects were similar to Fish & Co so I already started comparing. I thought I will be disappointed by the service but the food came fast and served by jovial servers. The ultimate deciding factor on whether I will continue to go to Fish & Co or begin my rendezvous with MFM is the taste! The food speak for itself! MFM, you've got a loyal customer for sure. :)

The Platter

The Seafood Platter consist of fried calamari rings, fried oyster, fries, flame-grilled prawns, fried fish fillet and savoury rice. The calamari rings were so rich in taste that once you pop one in your mouth, I can assure you, you just cant stop. The flavourful rice is one of a kind. It looks plain but you cant deny the delicious taste of the savoury rice. The most delicious plain-looking rice I have ever tasted in my life! The fish fillet is soft just melt in your mouth. If I was not too full with the rice, the fish would be gone in an instant. If one would want to try oysters, this dish would be a good place to start. The prawns deserve a whole tribute on its own.

The flaming grilled prawns

Mouth-watering, savoury prawns flame-grilled in plain sight before serving to you. Truly an innovative approach to serving seafood. The style is there, the flair is there and of course I was thinking will the taste be there? I wasnt disappointed. The delectable taste of the prawns was so "Hmmmm..." that I cannot forget about it and simply, simply must blog about it. Its a must try.

My finished prawns.

This little one had 2 helpings of rice, fish & calamari rings.

MFM... see you soon...
